Greek title adopted by the Emperor in the Byzantine Empire from the 7th
century.
Corpus Iuris Civilis
This means the body civil law. It was made by Justinian who was the emperor
of the Byzantine empire. It was an attempt of codify all Roman Law. It meant
the recovery of the past Roman glory and traditions.
